Frequently asked questions

A few answers before you start.

Do we pay for every community member or customer account?

No. Every plan includes unlimited community members and customer accounts. Your subscription includes a fixed allowance for your staff, communities, uploads, and notification emails.

What counts as a staff seat?

A staff seat is an active team member with access to your Adorn admin workspace, counted once across your communities. Community-only members, including community-only moderators, do not use staff seats.

How does billing work?

These are proposed launch plans in US dollars, billed monthly per workspace. We plan a permanent Free tier. Paid billing is not open yet.

Can public discussions and private customer spaces live together?

Yes. Publish answers anyone can find, open member discussions, and keep account-specific work in restricted spaces. The same access rules apply to conversations, search results, and notifications.

How do we keep track of questions that still need an answer?

Unresolved questions stay in a shared queue. Your team can assign an owner, see their open work, and follow the conversation through to an accepted answer. Closing replies and accepting an answer are separate decisions.

Does following a conversation mean an email for every reply?

Members can follow a conversation, choose only major updates, or mute it. A conversation email mute stops its emails; a space email mute stops new-conversation emails from that space. Email mutes keep in-app updates unchanged.

Can Adorn connect to our product and existing tools?

Pro and above include JWT single sign-on. A developer API and outgoing webhooks are planned for Pro and above; access automation, supported integrations, and reporting for Business and above; and SAML/OIDC for Enterprise. Planned capabilities are not available yet.

Can you help us move an existing community?

Talk to us about your content, customer access, and launch requirements. Migration and onboarding are separately scoped services, with deliverables and fees agreed before work begins. Enterprise agreements can include that scope.

How is storage counted?

Storage is shared across your workspace and counts retained original file uploads, including images and videos. Text posts, generated previews, and backups do not count. One GB is one billion bytes. Storage does not reset each month.

What counts toward the email allowance?

The allowance covers community notification emails across your workspace. Sign-in, security, and billing emails do not count. Paid allowances reset each subscription month; Free resets on the first of each month in UTC. Unused emails do not roll over.

What happens at a limit or after a downgrade?

When a usage check shows that an addition would exceed your staff, community, or storage allowance, adding more pauses until you free capacity or upgrade. Work already accepted can finish. Existing access, conversations, and uploaded files stay available. Notification emails pause when their monthly allowance is reached, while in-app notifications continue. Usage can exceed an allowance, and we will not automatically charge overage fees.
